Though she’s known Jesse all her life and trusts him to be a good man, admitting she’s abnormal to anyone other than her beagle or her mom is simply too daunting. Given her status as the town weirdo, her pool of friends is already embarrassingly shallow, and losing Jesse—one of the few people who don’t give her a wide berth on the sidewalk—just isn’t an option. Besides, if she tells him the truth, she would probably be obligated to also tell him that the ghost of his ex-fiance is haunting him, right? And ain’t nobody got time for that.
